Travel Loop – Engaging Digital Ads for a Travel Brand

Project Overview

As part of my portfolio, I developed a strategic social media campaign and digital display ads for a fictional travel agency, Travel Loop. This project aimed to create a cohesive, visually appealing, and high-converting ad campaign that would effectively promote travel experiences while maintaining brand consistency across different platforms.

Project Goals

  • Enhance brand awareness by creating a consistent visual identity.
  • Increase engagement with compelling ad creatives tailored for different formats.
  • Drive conversions by designing high-impact display ads with strong CTAs.
  • Ensure adaptability across multiple platforms, including social media and website display ads.

Design Process

  1. Research & Strategy:
  • Analyzed real-world travel campaigns to understand industry trends.
  • Defined a brand style guide with color palettes, typography, and imagery to ensure consistency.
  • Identified key ad placements (social media, display networks, mobile ads) and their size requirements.

2.Social Media Ad Design:

  • Created an Instagram ad focusing on stunning travel visuals with a clear call to action.
  • Designed a Facebook page ad and cover photo to build brand presence.
  • Ensured mobile responsiveness for optimal engagement.

3. Display Ad Campaign:

  • Developed multiple display ad formats, including:
  • Leaderboard Ad (728×90 px) – A wide format for website banners.
  • Mobile Leaderboard (320×50 px) – A compact yet effective ad for mobile users.
  • Square Ad (250×250 px) – Perfect for retargeting campaigns.
  • Large Skyscraper (300×600 px) – Designed for high visibility on websites.
  • Adapted the design to fit different ad spaces while ensuring a clear “Book Now” CTA.
  • Optimized text-to-image ratio for readability on small screens.

4. Challenges & Solutions:

  • Challenge: Adjusting the layout for multiple ad sizes without losing impact.
  • Solution: Prioritized key elements (logo, offer, CTA) and modified layouts accordingly.
  • Challenge: Maintaining brand recognition across different formats.
  • Solution: Used a consistent color scheme, typography, and imagery to strengthen brand identity.
  • Challenge: Creating high-converting CTAs.
  • Solution: A/B tested different CTA wordings, opting for “Book Now” over generic alternatives like “Click Here.
